3. Manage the phone from PC with Nokia Ovi Suite:

   • Useful for backing up contacts, messages, updating phone software and maps.
     
   • System requirements - Nokia Malaysia - Nokia Ovi Suite Compatibility & Download
     To connect between PC and phone, USB data cable and Bluetooth can be used. 
   • Bluetooth connection is used for data synchronization only. 
   • USB data cable connection is used for all Ovi Suite's features including data synchronization, software installation & update and map data installation.
   • Features includes management of contacts, photos, messages, maps, music and software. 
4. Using the GPS with Nokia Ovi Maps:
• Program & maps download - Nokia Malaysia - Ovi Maps, Driving Maps & Walking Maps Navigation  
• The advantages of using Ovi Maps are offline mode operation (it means free of charge, no network provider's data charges, similar to Garmin), smooth browsing of the map (no lagging), nice interface, wi-fi positioning if there is no GPS satellite signal and the landmark buildings in the map are in 3D! 
• The unique thing about Ovi Maps is its voice guidance language; "English - with street names", the street names in Bahasa Malaysia are pronounced in heavy English slang and this is quite funny. Another voice guidance language option is "English - Surfer Dude" which definitely makes my navigation more amusing. 
• The disadvantages of Ovi Maps are inaccurate location address, lack of places of interest, traffic update info not available for Kuala Lumpur, map has lesser details if compared to Garmin's MFM map.
  
• Ovi Maps has online mode operation which allows me to view the map in satellite view (similar to Google Map). Online mode operation incurs service provider data charges and it is free if using wi-fi.

• Some websites posted latest Garmin Mobile XT version is 5.00.60 but the official download from Garmin website is up to version 5.00.50 only.
• MSM Maps (malsingmaps) - Official Garmin compiled Malsingmaps Malaysia / Singapore / Brunei NT
  MSM is the regional official map provider for Garmin GPS devices.
• MFM Maps (myaseanfreemaps) - Free Malaysia & Singapore Garmin GPS Map
  MFM is my choice because it is updated more frequently and has more map details compared to MSM.
